WHY WE LOVE THIS WINE
"Fruit off Handpick’s north-facing Native Point vineyard in the Tamar Valley, whole-bunch pressed into a concrete egg with natural fermentation. There’s a lot to enjoy here, starting with its heady aroma of lemon blossom, mandarin peel, grapefruit and ginger powder. The palate is finely tuned with tangy lemon-and-lime juice, a sherbet-powder feel to the lively acidity with a lick of sweetness on the finish, giving this some depth. It has a touch of raw-silk texture via phenolics, too. All in all, a lovely wine." - Jane Faulkner, January 2022
94 Points - The Real Review
"Pale but bright colour. The nose is intense and fresh, bright and clean with superb floral fruit expression. Lemon pith and star jasmine. The palate is dry, savoury and harmonious, with good line and length and a tickle of tannin to provide backbone. Very good intensity of flavour. It's not perceptibly sweet but not totally dry either. A lovely wine. (Fermented in a concrete egg)". Huon Hooke - 28 June 2021
