95 POINT JAMES HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION 2024
"Well hello, Highbow Hill. You’re putting on the charm with this complete wine. As tightly wound as the other chardonnays from Handpicked but more flavour packed: lemon zest and juice, white stone fruit, cedary, spicy oak, a little smoky, a little flinty and those moreish sulphides add to the savoury profile. Brimming with energising acidity ensuring a lingering and long finish. Terrific wine."
Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion

Our 40ha vineyard is just north of Yarra Glen village in the Yarra Valley and takes its name from Highbow Hill, the dominant feature on the property’s eastern boundary. The soils are sandy loam over clay and gravel over mudstone and there is an abundance of native flora and fauna, including wombats and kangaroos. Chardonnay vines (clones Chardonnay P58, I10v1, ENTAV 548 and Bernard 95) were planted on VSP trellis in 2015.
